Yesterday on the bus exploration we passed a Denny’s restaurant. So at 09:00 we were there for an American breakfast.

It is at a junction like in New York and beneath the Sky Tower. At 328m it is the tallest structure in the Southern hemisphere. It rises from the ground shaped like a Russian rocket of the 1980s. with its weathered, rain-stained concrete, making it not quite as spectacular as it was when built. It features every year on news broadcasts because of the firework display as the city becomes the first to let in the New Year because of its location at 175⁰ East, near the International Date Line.

Our walk continued past as many Art Deco buildings we could find finishing at the Princes Quay from where we depart tomorrow.
