Today our luck was in as power had been restored to the Maritime Museum. We toured St. Roch which was supported by very many copies of maps and documents not only related to Larsen’s voyages but those of Amundsen, Franklin and those involved in the search for Franklin.
Canada Place (improved docklands) is backed by many high-rise buildings. Among them is the Marine Building – an Art-Deco gem with marine life decorative panelling. Docked, but soon to depart, was the cruise ship Celebrity Millennium, bound for Alaska.
Tomorrow is an early departure with an 05:30 breakfast, prior to a charter flight at 10:00 to Nome, Alaska via Anchorage.
