Today we were having breakfast at dawn to enable us to get to the historical town of Chachoengsao, the location of a traditional market of shops and houses of wooden construction built upon land and above the irrigation canals. Unfortunately being a Monday morning we were the first there and did not see or meet much local life.
We continued to the centre of spiritual faith of the local community at Luang Pho Sothon where we witnessed locals paying respect and praying which was in some cases during a lunch break. We took lunch at a riverside hotel and then in the well established coach tour took the shortest way back to the ship.
As we write we are enroute in a southeasterly direction to Sihanoukville, Cambodia.
